Do you know how to cook a steak indoors in the oven?

Is cooking it in a pan an option? Or is oven-cooked part of the deal?

I like cooking my steaks in a pan, heating some butter till its sizzling, then putting the steak in the pan and letting it cook for 1.5 minutes on either side.

You can leave it for longer or less, depending on what cut of meat you're cooking, and how you like your steak. Personally, I try to get it medium-rare.

Seasoning is also a good idea. I go with plain old fashioned salt and black pepper sprinkled generously. I also like to leave my steak to settle for a minute or two before serving.
