The avocado is a fruit that grows on the avocado tree found mainly in Central America. It is green from the exterior with the inner flesh being greenish yellow with a large seed in the middle. It is a nutritious food high in fat content which is unsaturated considered as healthy as well as being rich in vitamins (B, E and K) and potassium.
A medium sized avocado will contain approximately 300 to 325 calories and as such two or three avocados will provide enough calories as much as a small meal.
