1 Calorie is 4.184 kilojoules.

How To Convert From Kilojoules to Calories When you only know how many kilojoules are in an item of food, the best way of finding out how many Calories it contains is by dividing the number by 4. This won’t be exact – the number you end up with will be slightly higher than is accurate - but it’ll give you a rough estimate.

What Are Calories? A Calorie is a metric unit of energy, and is technically called a kilocalorie, which is why you’ll often find it written as “kcal” on food packets. They’re called this because there are 1000 “small calories” in a Calorie (note the capital “C”).

And What Are Kilojoules?  A kilojoule is a unit of energy introduced with the SI (or International System of Units), which is most commonly used in mainland Europe as a replacement for the older metric system. One kilojoule is equal to 1000 joules.

1 Calorie = 4.184 kilojoules

(note that Calorie is with a capital 'C' as this actually means 1000 calories, which is the way we are used to seeing it)

Just divide the kilojoules by 4 - then you will get the approximate amount of calories.
