There are different ways of preparing baked salmon fillets. Heat the oven to about 375 degrees. Pour lemon juice into a rectangular baking dish, and sprinkle with 1/4 cup brown sugar. Arrange fillets, thoroughly washed in dish and add butter. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes and then toss it over. Put a slice of lemon on each fillet and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. Bake until fish cuts easily with fork.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put salmon in low baking dish and add 1 cup of 'half and half or milk,' to the extent fish is half absorbed. Sprinkle with basil and salt if preferred. Bake for 25 minutes. The fish is edible when it is somewhat pink in the middle.
