To cook cabbage you first need to clean it properly. Remove the outer layers of the cabbage leaves and then cut the cabbage into a quarter size pieces. Rinse the chopped cabbage under cold stream of water. Check the worms and other insects in the cabbage. If there are any insects or worms remove them by soaking it in water with some vinegar for 15-20 minutes. Cut the stems of the cabbage using knife. Cut the cabbage slices into desired thickness. Chop 1 whole onion, 1 tomato and 2 medium sized potatoes into pieces. Fry the chopped onions and tomatoes on low flame. Steam the potatoes and cabbage for 10-12 minutes till it becomes soft. Add the cabbage and potatoes to the onions and tomatoes. Stir on a low flame until heated properly.
